WHAT IS ESTROGENIUS

WHO WE ARE

The EstroGenius Festival is an annual celebration of the artistry of femme, non-binary, non-conforming and trans womxn artists.

In 2017 Melissa Riker and maura nguyễn donohue ushered in a new era and now welcome in co-producers Portia Wells and Sabrina Canas, alongside long-time short play producer Vincent Marano.

The festival is curated by Wells, Canas, Riker and guest curator John C. Robinson, with exciting guest curators each year.

Founded as a short play festival in 2000 by Fiona Jones and held by Lanie Zipoy, Jenny Green and Jennifer Thatcher in its following years, EstroGenius exists to present the voices of dance-makers, playwrights, experimental performers, teens, musicians, burlesque performers, noise artists, filmmakers, dj’s and anyone else looking to break molds and crack gender codes to the stage, street and forefront of public attention.
